A New Era of Intelligent Agents
We stand at the threshold of a new chapter in the working world. Artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly, opening up possibilities that not long ago sounded like science fiction. AI coworkers are at the center of this change: agent-based AI systems that integrate seamlessly into existing processes and workflows while unlocking new potential in organizations.
Two years ago, I was at dinner with friends and colleagues, explaining with conviction how far-reaching this shift would be. Most of them thought my assessment was overblown — the argument being that AI would stay confined to narrow, specialized tasks. Today the picture is different: AI agents don't just support the work, they are changing how businesses operate. While some still debate whether AI can be "conscious," the real point gets lost — what matters is the agency these systems now have, and how reliably they can carry decisions in day-to-day operations.
The rise of AI coworkers marks a shift from passive automation toward proactive, decision-capable intelligence. These agents don't just execute predefined tasks; they learn, adapt, and improve workflows. That has implications across industries — from supply chain management to sales, finance, and beyond.
The question is no longer *whether* AI coworkers will change work, but how quickly businesses will learn to use their potential. Those who embrace the shift early gain an advantage — higher productivity, less operational friction, and new forms of value creation.
When we founded Recall Space, we agreed on a few foundational principles. The essence of our mission is available to everyone in our manifesto.
Our Manifesto
The beginning of a new era
The capabilities of AI agents are growing rapidly. They can already take on a widening range of complex tasks and workflows that used to be reserved for humans‚ AI and they will keep learning at this pace.
Our Mission
Recall Space was founded to create intelligent AI coworkers for supply chain management‚ AI agents that handle everyday tasks independently, carry entire workflows, and continuously acquire the skills they need to meaningfully relieve teams. Our goal is to make these AI coworkers available to organizations of every size, opening up a new level of efficiency and value creation.
Research for agentic AI
We build our AI coworkers on a shared intelligence layer — Recall Intelligence — because we see this as an important step in the development of agentic intelligence. Where it makes sense, we share findings with the community and contribute to the progress of this technology.
Join our mission
Come with us on the path toward an AI-supported workforce in supply chain management — and beyond.
Our enthusiasm for the challenges of supply chain management led to Lisa, our first AI coworker. With deep roots in the supply chain space, we focused on industries where growing complexity and increasing vulnerability have dramatically raised the workload in purchasing and planning.
When AI takes over routine tasks and makes use of its round-the-clock availability, a new and accelerated path to efficiency opens up. This not only reduces operational friction; it gives planners and buyers the room to focus on tactical and strategic decisions — where their contribution truly counts.
That is the difference. While traditional supply chain systems have spent years on optimization and incremental improvement, AI coworkers make it possible to outsource entire processes in an intelligent, automated way — without the burden of endless implementation projects.
Lisa: An AI Coworker for Purchasing and Planning
One of the first AI coworkers we developed at Recall Space is Lisa. She shows how an AI agent works in today's workplace — and at the same time, what is likely to become standard in the near future.
What makes Lisa stand out?
- Purchasing and disposition: Lisa anticipates demand, checks order confirmations against the purchase order, detects deviations, and ensures the right quantities are available at the right time.
- Real-time communication: She classifies emails, drafts responses, proactively contacts suppliers, and gives employees fast decision support.
- Integration with existing systems: Lisa connects to Excel files and ERP systems, processes data in seconds, and updates planning and ordering information without manual effort.
- Learning and continuous improvement: With every interaction, Lisa becomes more capable and can increasingly relieve entire workflows of repetitive tasks.
Today she focuses on time-consuming work like demand forecasting and processing order confirmations. Tomorrow she can carry broader planning and procurement processes.
AI Coworkers Beyond Procurement
Lisa is just the beginning. AI coworkers can be deployed in nearly every part of an organization — with different roles and capabilities:
- Victor, the sales agent
Victor supports sales: he handles inquiries, creates quotes and calculations, and communicates with customers across multiple channels. This accelerates the path from inquiry to quote and relieves sales teams in exactly the steps that cost the most time today. - AI coworkers in customer service
With speech and text recognition, AI agents can respond to customer inquiries in real time, offer solutions, and gather feedback for product improvements — for smooth, AI-supported customer experiences. - Voice assistance and other modalities
Whether through voice input, chat, or other interfaces, AI coworkers can give people "superpowers" by integrating information, suggestions, and automation directly into daily work.
The Path Toward Connected Organizations
Our vision goes beyond individual agents: we see organizations in which AI coworkers increasingly connect business processes — from procurement and production to marketing, sales, HR, and finance. What does that look like?
- Decentralized decision-making: Agents exchange information, work with real-time data, and coordinate processes increasingly on their own — within clearly defined areas of responsibility and under human oversight.
- More efficiency and scalability: Because recurring tasks are handled by AI coworkers, companies can grow more agilely and focus their resources on innovation and strategy.
- A new role for people: Rather than getting lost in operational detail, people take on creative, strategic, and above all interpersonal work. AI agents and people work together — a combination of efficiency and judgment.

Superpowers for People, a New Course for Organizations
When we talk about AI coworkers, we don't mean replacing people. On the contrary: AI agents give us room for what truly makes us strong — creativity, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication.
- For the individual, this means less time-consuming routine and more focus on demanding work and personal growth.
- For organizations, it means higher throughput, fewer errors, better use of resources, and a new form of value creation.
AI coworkers therefore also drive cultural change — away from rigid hierarchies, toward a flexible interplay of people and AI that can react quickly to market shifts.
Conclusion: Shape the Future with AI coworker
- A new era: AI coworkers take on tasks with growing independence and reliability.
- Lisa as a model: Our agent for purchasing and planning already shows the potential of intelligent automation today.
- Diverse fields of application: Whether sales, customer service, or voice assistance — AI agents are becoming the backbone of the new working world.
- Connected organizations: Companies are evolving into dynamic networks in which AI agents and people shape the market together.
- Empowerment, not replacement: AI coworkers give us superpowers and create room for strategic and creative work.
- Be part of this era: Whether you're a developer, an entrepreneur, or an end user — our mission at Recall Space is to bring these AI coworkers into the world and make them accessible to companies.
“Join us on the path toward an AI-supported workforce in supply chain management!”
Together, we change how companies operate and how people work. With Lisa for purchasing and planning and more AI coworkers to come, we are paving the way toward a future in which people and AI drive innovation, efficiency, and growth side by side.
